Consequently, the gel’s formulation is compromised, sacrificing either gentleness or aggressiveness. In addition, the thin, fabric mesh that gives hydrogel its body floats unpredictably during gel production. This can result in erratic performance and increased electrode failure. If the mesh is near the top of the gel, the electrode may delaminate. If it is near the bottom, there may be insufficient gel for satisfactory skin adhesion.  LIFEGUARD ELECTRODES LifeGuard Electrodes’ innovative, patented design includes two layers of hydrogel, each distinctly formulated for a specific task: Layer One for delicate skin adhesion, Layer Two for aggressive electrode bonding. The LifeGuard Electrode mesh is securely locked between the hydrogel layers, ensuring predictable performance, greater accuracy, and a dramatically minimized failure rate. Furthermore, LifeGuard Electrodes have a thin urethane coating that act as an umbrella to protect against moisture and keep the electrodes looking like new.
