The First Heart Rate Sensing Pad for High Risk Deliveries – LifeGuard ECG STAT Pad LifeGuard ECG STAT Pad was specifically developed to monitor the heart rate of high-risk infants during resuscitation. Its patent-pending foam design and proprietary electrodes provide continual, accurate signal capture, eliminating the need to interrupt resuscitation for auscultation of the chest with a stethoscope. As a result, you’re better able to use the infant’s heart rate to guide your intervention procedures, as detailed in AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Guidelines. In addition, you greatly reduce the chances of missing bradycardiac events, which may go unnoticed with intermittent auscultation.
Developed with a Physician to Meet Critical Needs Developed in conjunction with Dr. Andrew Kairalla, a Miami based neonatologist, the LifeGuard ECG STAT Pad meets a critical Labor and Delivery need, while emphasizing ease-of-use. After connecting the LifeGuard leads to a vital signs monitor, you just place the LifeGuard ECG STAT Pad on a radiant warmer or resuscitation table prior to laying the infant down. The pad’s flexible hypoallergenic foam keeps the electrodes comfortably and securely in place – even during transport to the NICU.

We use it for sick cardiac kids that we resuscitate in the delivery room; babies can be slippery and leads don’t stick. The stat pad works really good for sick kids we want to monitor. We love it! ~ Charge Nurse, Level 3 NICU, Boston, MA |
