Approximately 5% to 10% of children are diagnosed with learning disabilities. Some of these learning disabilities may be explained by subtle auditory deficits that contribute to delayed and abnormal reading skills. BioMARK is a neurophysiologic test used to quickly and objectively identify disordered processing of sound that has been associated with learning impairments in many children. This procedure was developed in the Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory at Northwestern University.
BioMARK is now available as an addition to the Navigator Pro AEP hardware platform. Recent additions to the BioMARK functionality include expanded normative data for children age 3-4 years old, adults 18-28 years old in addition to the norms for children 5-12 years of age.
